Dumping Day 2024

Happy Dumping Day to the men, women, captains, crews & families! Stay safe out there and we’ll see you back on shore. I had the honour to stand in my place in the House of Commons to wish these hard-working harvesters in LFA 33 & 34 the best of luck as they set their traps to start the 2024/2025 legal season.

My wish is for these lobster harvesters is that the seas be calm, and the lobsters be crawling.
May the fishing grounds be prosperous, making long days seem short.
May the shore prices rise, and markets be steady.
And may the thoughts of loved ones and family guide you safely back to port each day this season.
